Macey is a fourth-year Environmental Studies major at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She loves being a Lead Teacher in the classrooms and she is really excited to help the UCSB chapter grow as Co-Chapter Director! When she’s not busy teaching, Macey likes to read, hike, free dive, and research giant sea bass!
Hi friends I'm Peyton and am a third year Environmental Studies and Geography (GIS emphasis) double major! As the incoming co-chapter director, I couldn't be more excited for the opportunity to lead our dedicated, bubbly, and passionate volunteers here in Santa Barbara. I hope to continue expanding our chapter and get as many UCSB students interested as possible! Through Sprout Up, I have learned that one day I want to start my own business creating environmental children's books :)
Hi! I'm Alyssa and I am a third-year Environmental Studies and Geography double major at UC Santa Barbara. As program manager, I coordinate with our local elementary schools to get Sprout Up volunteers in classrooms and make sure our teaching teams have all the resources they need. Teaching with Spout up is always the highlight of my week and when I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy hiking, watching the sunset, and being out in nature!
My name is Christian and I am a fourth year environmental studies and economics double major, with a minor in science & math education. I have been a part of Sprout Up since my first year, and I am excited to continue as one of the education liaisons this year. This organization is so important to me because not only do we get to educate kids about important environmental topics, we also get them excited about science and learning, which I think is just as important. Outside of Sprout Up, I love dancing and going on hikes.
My name is Evan, I am a fourth year here at UCSB, and it is also my third year with Sprout Up! I am pursuing a B.S. in Environmental Studies, and I have placed my concentration in Geography, where I hope to expand my understanding of atmospheric sciences. It is important to me that the students do not just understand our lessons on environmentalism, but that they get excited and passionate about it. I love working in classrooms as an educator, but when I am not doing that, you can probably find me at the cliffs watching the sunset or trying out a new recipe in my kitchen.

As Social Media Manager and Co-Community Manager for Sprout Up, I help to facilitate community engagement and expand local connections. Being a part of the organization has been so rewarding and I cannot wait to continue my involvement with the club! In my free time, I love relaxing at the beach, painting, going to concerts, taking new classes (hot yoga, cooking, etc.), and spending time with family and friends.
Kamryn is a second year Environmental Studies major. This is her second year in Sprout Up and first year as a co-community/social media manager. Teaching Sprout Up is always the highlight of her year, and while she's not in the classroom she's hiking, swimming, or walking on the beach!

Hi! I am Jaelee and currently a fourth year biology major here at UCSB, minoring in psychology! This is my second year apart of Sprout Up and I have enjoyed every second of it! Being able to make a difference in kids lives and how they view the environment has been so fulfilling. When I am not shopping for materials or inside of the library you can find me scuba diving, walking the bluffs, or somewhere with a dog!
Hi everyone! I’m Stephen a third year Environmental Studies major at UCSB and this years Development Manager for Fundraising. Sprout Up is always the highlight of my week because I get to see first hand this new found curiosity for our shared environment and science in general. Whether it’s creating water protection posters with the students or bonding with my fellow instructors, Spout Up always puts a a smile on my face! In my free time I love talking walks in nature, playing the violin, and going out to eat with my friends!
Madge is a third year psychology major at UCSB. She wants to be an RN when she grows up and plans on getting a masters in nursing. She loves bird watching and can name many species just by call alone! She also loves musical theatre.
