Nishika, a junior and Biological Anthropology major at UC San Diego, is so excited to join Sprout Up and help inspire a lifelong love for nature in her new community! Nishika is passionate about sustainability and environmental conservation, and believes that environmental education is essential to building a healthier world. She is especially interested in environmental health, and the various relationships between people and their surroundings. Outside of volunteering, Nishika loves hiking and listening to acoustic music.
Darcie Duong is a third year Business Psychology student at UC San Diego and is passionate about education and environmental education. A long-term animal and fauna-lover, she is excited to teach young students about nature. She also enjoys drawing, reading, and listening to music.
Amanda Liu is a rising 3rd year student at UC San Diego, studying Environmental Systems and Urban Planning. Her passion for the environment and sustainability was sparked in elementary school after watching a Bill Nye video on melting polar ice caps during science class. Today, Amanda is dedicated to educating the youth about climate change while inspiring hope for a sustainable future. On days to relax, she enjoys playing piano, taking nature walks, and discovering new restaurants.
