Sophia Crasto is a senior at NYU, studying Economics and Journalism with a minor in Business. She is deeply committed to advancing equitable, sustainable, and environmental education across NYC public schools. Through her work, she strives to bridge gaps in environmental literacy and empower the next generation to think critically about sustainability.
Ben is a junior at NYU studying mathematics and computer science interested in the intersection of data analytics and sustainability. He joined Sprout Up as an instructor in Fall 2023 and has been the co-Chapter Director since Fall 2024. He cannot wait to help lead his team to deliver sustainability-centered education to kids across the city!
Jonathan is a current senior at NYU and is pursuing a major in Psychology with a minor in Chemistry. He looks forward to working in the mental health field, with a particular interest in psychiatry. His favorite hobbies include practicing taekwondo and singing Broadway songs!
Hi! I'm Lilly, and I'm a junior at NYU, majoring in Environmental Studies. I joined Sprout Up because I love working with kids and teaching them the importance of protecting nature and our environment. In New York City, I enjoy exploring parks and art museums, and at home in Southern California, I spend my time at the beach.
Maia Opazo is a junior at NYU studying Environmental Studies with a passion for advancing environmental justice through youth engagement and community-based solutions. She joined Sprout Up as an instructor in Spring 2024. She loves printmaking and long walks!
I’m a pre-dental junior at NYU majoring in Biology and minoring in Chinese, with a strong interest in healthcare and community impact. From researching neurons in the larynx to volunteering at a dental clinic and working with Sprout Up to inspire environmental stewardship, I enjoy finding ways to make a difference. In my free time, you’ll find me sketching, playing League of Legends, or trying out a new recipe.
Hi everyone, my name is Ting Ting~ After being Sprout Up NYU’s Head Community Manager and Online Activism Coordinator for two years, I’m excited to continue as one of your Recruitment Managers this year! I study Psychology and Economics and am very interested in Teaching, Marketing, and Human Resources. In my free time I enjoy playing badminton, watching Broadway musicals, trying new restaurants, and finding new songs to sing! Very excited for another amazing year with our wonderful Sprouties~
